MAGIC AND RELIGION

In the ancient times magic, religion and science were all the same. A wizard, dealing with magic, was a priest, communicating with the spirits, and was a scientist, analyzing nature, at the same time.

Magical Experiences were natural to anybody. These experiences could be experienced by anybody and not only by priests or monks. With increasing experience magical teaching become more necessary as the practices became more powerful. Schools for training magical practices became the seed for the emerging religions.

But even today all Religions share some links to magical rituals. The ancient religions practiced magic openly these practices are commonly referred as Shamanism. Even today, some religions have a very strong link to their Shamanic roots.
